The Brotherhood of Priests

For 5 years in a row, the Priest’s Convocation has been held in Chandler (an easy two-hour drive from Tucson) to step away from the daily routine of parish life, which is, a real treat. Since I’m in Coolidge, I have the shortest drive so to speak, my neck of the woods, not really because it’s 30 min via back road without traffic. Convocation means business. You talk about from everything to nothing whichever comes first, details withheld. One of the perks is obviously a short-lived enjoyment of the hotel’s amenities (gym, pool and what room 109 hospitality had to offer…etc) and if I may add, the brotherhood of Priests (seeing mis hermanos from Douglas to Apache Junction, from Yuma/La Paz to Payson), a very important part of priestly life. Take a look at some of the pics below…taken for blogging purposes…

Welcoming Fr. Ariel Lustan into the presbyterate of the Diocese of Tucson…Do you promise obedience to me and to my successors? said the Bishop…His reply…Absolutely…

The Filipino Priests of the Diocese of Tucson with Bp. Kicanas…

Once again, same angle, let’s see who’s got the best smile…always the fellow on my left…Fr. Joemarie? sino tinitignan mo dyan?

Amen…
