Super Bowl XLVI

Super Bowl XLVI is over and the result was extremely depressing for me who rooted for the Patriots, decided to stay in the rectory despite numerous invitations all because of my tendency to get really involved in the game, go over-the-top emotionally which I presumed was a bit off in a public setting. Over all, it was an exciting rematch and the fact that it was decided until after the last throw was worth a watch. I’m not a fan of football. I don’t even cheer for a team. It took me sometime to appreciate it. Back then, it was too complicated, needed some schooling and interpretation, found it too violent, didn’t understand anything except folks beating each other up just to get into the end zone. It’s like a modern display of the ancient roman practice of fighting in the coliseum. I go for NE because I easily get amused at their running game and love to see Brady’s quick passes that’s why I wanted them to win to make up for their loss 4 years ago. I still believe it happened for a reason as crazy as it was: Packers-season favorite, very Catholic, no doubt championship caliber team, with only one loss, collapsed in the first round, Saints, as holy as the team seemed to be, no miracle so far, Ravens, lots of chances to win as the clock expired, Cundiff missed a 32 yard kick, 49ers, same thing, Williams made a couple of errors, sending both Patriots and the Giants to Indianapolis for the biggest game of the year.
