Alleluia

I ended up chanting the Exsultet and the result was disaster. Thank God it wasn’t recorded and no one brought it up after the 3 hour long Mass. Si, tres horas, no short cut, did all, nine readings, a real vigil. The church was packed, standing room only and was surprised to switch languages effortlessly. Todavia tengo much practicar. St. James is fun to be with. They laugh at my jokes, silly or not. Que mas queres? Nada. Well, it was a huge production with volunteers generously sharing their time, working behind the scenes in the entire holy week, plus the expenditures. No te preoccupes, todo esta bien, that’s what I said to myself before the vigil began and was at peace. Whatever the outcome, I’ll sing Alleluia! The Lord is risen, smile and follow the ritual. Well, the high point is over now and slowly, going downhill. I survived.
Happy Easter!
