Tonight is the night!

If there’s a night that Catholics need to come together, join in the service of the new fire and the paschal candle and procession, take time to listen to the unfolding of salvation  history (from creation – resurrection) through the word of God proclaimed (a total of nine readings), celebrate RCIA and welcome new converts, renew baptismal promises with a sprinkle of the newly blessed holy water, stay awake, keep vigil, wait and pray hard, it should be on Easter Vigil, Saturday after sundown, and not on December 31st, the party of all parties. Amen.
