God’s Appointment

On 1 Cor 4: 1-5

There were two main struggles Paul encountered when he was ministering to the Corinthians. The first was the uncertainty whether the corinthian community would thrive and spread through the years or not. This maybe the reason why he was very strong and resolute in his admonitions. The second concern was the question of his authority. Who was Paul? To whom and from whom did he get the go-signal to preach Christ? The occasion of writing this letter was caused by the passing judgments on each other in the community. Thus, Paul repeated and once again made clear of this identity and job descriptions as Christians that they were servants of Christ and Stewards of the mysteries of God. They had to be trustworthy by virtue of baptism. Thus, refrain giving judgment on him, and each other. Amen.
